The Senate and Assembly are scheduled to be in Albany Monday through Wednesday this week.

On April 7, the Greater Binghamton Chamber is holding an event on the Upstate Revitalization Initiative (URI).

Also on Thursday, April 7, the Assembly committees on Insurance and Health are holding a public hearing “to evaluate the process of modifying or enhancing health insurance coverage requirements under the Affordable Care Act.”

The Public Service Commission (PSC) holds its next meeting on April 12.

The Board of Regents holds its next meeting on April 18 and 19.

New York’s Presidential Primary is April 19. Also being held on that day are special elections for four vacant state legislative seats:  the 9th Senate District (to replace Dean Skelos), the 59th AD (to replace Roxanne Persaud), the 62nd AD (to replace Joe Borelli) and the 65th AD (to replace Sheldon Silver).
