The Siena Research Institute released its 9th Annual Upstate New York Business Leader Survey, which shows that Upstate CEO confidence fell dramatically since last year. The survey was sponsored by the Business Council of New York State.
More than 80% of those surveyed say that the state’s taxes and regulatory environment are obstacles to the growth of their businesses, while 87% oppose increasing the minimum wage to %15 per hour. Other issues of concern to the Upstate business leaders who were surveyed are health care costs (78%), governmental regulation (68%) and taxes (65%).
