Unshackle Upstate leadership team member, the Rochester Business Alliance, the chamber of commerce that serves the nine-county Finger Lakes region, announced last week that it plans to change its name to the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce next month.
RBA President and CEO Bob Duffy said:
“Rebranding as the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce helps us more clearly define our mission as an organization that offers advocacy and services to help businesses of all sizes grow and prosper. We have received very positive feedback about the name change throughout the strategic planning process with input from our board of directors and staff, regional business leaders, not-for-profits, regional chamber of commerce executives, and many others. We are excited about what the future holds for the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.”
The RBA has long been a leader in terms of speaking on behalf of Upstate businesses, and as a regional leader on many fronts. We look forward to continuing our work with them to make Upstate New York a better place to live, work and grow a business in 2016 and beyond.
