Democratic Assemblyman Will Not Challenge Larkin in 2016

The Daily News reported last week that second-term Democratic Assemblyman James Skoufis of Orange County will not challenge long-time incumbent Republican State Senator Bill Larkin in 2016. Skoufis, 28, is the youngest member of the state legislature.  Larkin is in his 36th year serving in the Legislature.

Skoufis’s decision is a blow to the Senate Democrats’ effort to regain control of the State Senate in 2016.
