New York’s roads, bridges and other infrastructure are in dire need of remedial help.
An Infrastructure Report Card release last week by the state Council of the American Society of Civil Engineers looked at nine different categories of infrastructure, and gave the state a grade of C-. The report shows that the state’s roads with a D-, bridges with a D+ and wastewater systems with a D.
So while we’re passing, this is nothing to brag about. We took some important steps for in 2015 in terms of investing in infrastructure repair. Clearly, there is much more work that needs to be done.
