Last week, we learned that federal prosecutors have begun presenting evidence to a grand jury considering a case against Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) and his son.

Citing unnamed sources, the newspaper report indicates that prosecutors with the office of Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York based in Manhattan, is looking into a payment to Skelos’ son by a title insurance firm for which he did not work, and the awarding of a contract by Nassau County to a firm where the younger Skelos was on the payroll.
