Last week, Gov. Cuomo announced the launch of 26 ‘community solar’ campaigns throughout the state. Under this program, communities can obtain solar installations as a large group rather than on a household-by-household basis, which reduces the costs for all involved. The program also provides marketing, technical and other assistance for interested communities.
Gov. Cuomo said:
“Solar power is helping to save money and conserve energy across the state – and one of the best ways for local communities to install solar infrastructure is to come together and take advantage of even more cost-effective rates. I encourage anyone considering solar for their home or business to learn more about our resources and join the campaign today.”
