Last week, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP) announced its endorsement of Gov. Andrew Cuomo for re-election and former Rep. Kathy Hochul for lieutenant governor.
BNP President and CEO Dottie Gallagher-Cohen cited the Buffalo Billion, the work of the Western New York Regional Economic Development Council, UB2020 and the real property tax cap, among other initiative, as reasons for BNP’s support. She said:
“Governor Cuomo has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into transforming Western New York. His investment into our region cannot be ignored and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership is proud to support his re-election….We look forward to continuing our work with the Governor on opportunities like the Brownfield Cleanup Program extension that make Buffalo Niagara a better place to live, work and thrive.”
In support of Kathy Hochul, Gov. Cuomo’s running mate and a Western New Yorker, Ms. Gallagher-Cohen said:
“The Partnership is also proud to support Western New York’s own former Congresswoman, Kathy Hochul, as she runs for Lieutenant Governor. Through her years of experience serving the public, Kathy was able to see first-hand what this region needs to continue growing and the necessary steps to take to get us there.”
