Dottie Gallagher-Cohen, President and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP), has a great blog post that explains how her organization decides which candidates to endorse and/or provide financial support to.

It’s a very thoughtful piece that provides some excellent insights about how a diverse organization such as BNP is able to get its members to work together.  It also shows how BNP’s year-round government advocacy work becomes the criteria to be used in its endorsement process.

One sentence from Dottie’s post is worth reproducing here, because it goes to the heart of what we do, and why we do it:

“With higher taxes and a harsh regulatory environment, it is our job to be engaged and involved in advocating for policies that will result in job growth in Buffalo Niagara.”
