According to a Siena poll of likely voters released last Monday, Gov. Cuomo holds a 37-point lead over Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, 60%-23%.
The poll shows Gov. Cuomo with the support of 80% of Democrats, of 56% independent voters and 32% Republican voters. The Governor’s lead among likely voters is 76% in New York City, 29% in the downstate suburbs and 15% upstate.
The Siena poll also shows that 13% of likely voters view jobs as the jobs is the top issue in the campaign, with taxes and education each coming in a close second with 12%.
