Read Brian’s commentary essay in Albany’s Times Union newspaper.
Listen to Brian discuss this issue and other budget matters important to Upstate with the New York Post’s Fred Dicker.
Governor, as far as the real BUSINESS CLIMATE in the State of New York as we hear the dog and pony mouth politics that has our “backbone” on life support add this …… we have yet to “assist” Sandy victims, or the Homeless, officials still allow Ego spending, allow altered time sheets as they play the politics of Education that forget the priority (on and off campus,) we have yet to give real assistance to Veterans, or help those in need of feeding their family, but we do have officials O.K. $103,000 checks for groping as I re-read the audits advising of “huge amounts of money wasted by high ranking officials” as they still hire no-shows as favors, or Appointment a recently disbarred attorney to positions we pay for, as we continue to fund cons like Solyndra and Citytime when in all cases many said NO to the above– as you cut essential services and we can add so many more orrrs—the game and con is all the same… Y’ALL talk change—reality has a strategic plan and personal greed that need it to continue. Now y’all are covering your ass scurrying to do….
When you replace actual accomplishment with pumped up “numbers” and play mouth politics for personal gain… we accomplish nothing except fund the egos and greed that lie —reward those that do it with honesty and transparency.
Ex: Our “backbone” has more government organizations offering business ‘”assistance” and some show they assist more businesses than businesses, and now scramble to cover up the lies. How many of these organizations do we need in every community when S.C.O.R.E. is FREE to the taxpayers, the business community and doing YEOMAN work might have answers to WHOM the other taxpayer/tuition funded organizations know in Albany and their relatives that run these organizations. For all the good being accomplished at the Research Foundation (C.U.N.Y./S.U.N.Y.)—there are closed doors that need to see sunlight. Give our money to the two “business assistance organizations” in every community that deserve it—and let’s make the documents public regarding those that waste our funds and fudge the numbers to benefit themselves. The strategic plan of greed is always the same when we fund private non–profits when in the wrong hands…with WHOM and HOW needing awareness.
