A Siena poll released last week shows that Gov. Cuomo’s approval ratings remain strong, but that voters see limited improvement in a number of key areas. It shows that 58% of those polled have a good opinion of him, and that 46% approved of the job he has been doing.

The poll also shows that Gov. Cuomo leads Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, the only declared GOP candidate for governor, 61% to 26%.

But the poll also showed that most voters believe that the state has not improved under Gov. Cuomo in a number of areas, including the state’s business climate, the quality of public education, state government effectiveness, and addressing corruption in government.
