Syracuse Mayor Resigns Position as State Democratic Party Co-Chair
Last week, Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner resigned her position as state Democratic Party co-chair. Her resignation comes as the state Democrats prepare to hold their party convention in May.
Mayor Miner has clashed with Gov. Cuomo on several topics, including state aid to cities. In an interview, she denied that her differences with the Governor had anything to do with her resignation. “I’ve had some public disagreements with the governor on policy issues, but this is a political issue,” she said.
