Last Friday, Gov. Cuomo issued 483 budget vetoes, most of which were re-appropriations for which funds have been exhausted. Other vetoes covered items more than seven years old for which funds have never been expended. You can read the list of the budget vetoes here.
Most of these “budget items” were added by the Legislature in prior years. Thankfully, the practice of adding “member item” spending has ended in New York.
