At their annual meeting in Central New York last week, New York’s farmers shot down a proposal to have the statewide group oppose hydraulic fracturing, the process used to develop natural gas.

We applaud the Farm Bureau for rejecting the small number of alarmists who are simply unwilling to accept the science of this issue.  Our neighbors to the south in Pennsylvania have benefited tremendously from natural gas development.

But in New York, our six plus year “environmental review process” continues…with no end in sight.
