Gov. Cuomo continued his focus on Upstate this week, hosting a Finger Lakes wine tour, and announcing a new state advertising campaign that is intended to benefit the state’s vintners on Tuesday. The state’s new television ad can be viewed here.
The tour was intended to promote upstate wines, particularly to New York City-area downstate wine retailers. Members of the Metro Package Store Association, a trade group that represents wine and liquor store owners in and around New York City, accompanied the Governor.
Since the end of the legislative session in June, the governor has focused his attention on upstate New York and its tourism industry. This summer, he has whitewater rafted in the Adirondacks, fished in St. Lawrence County and promoted a NASCAR race at Watkins Glen International.
We are pleased that Gov. Cuomo has been putting so much effort into promoting Upstate and our economy. A key part of solving a problem is acknowledging it.
