Last Wednesday, Gov. Cuomo held a Cabinet at which he listed his top priorities for the remainder of the 2013 legislative session, which is schedule to end on June 20.

He identified taxpayer-funded elections and a women’s agenda He also said that he anticipates “second passage“ of a casino constitutional amendment, but said the referendum could be delayed until 2014.

He also said he wants to establish a local government restructuring entity with the ability to resolve binding arbitration cases.  On Thursday, Gov. Cuomo published a guest editorial in the Albany Times Union in which he explained how his proposed “financial restructuring group” will help local governments facing financial distress.  We have some thoughts about this task force.  You can read them on our blog.
