Republican Assemblyman to Run for District Attorney

Assemblyman Tony Jordan (R-Jackson) announced this week that he plans to run for Washington County District Attorney this fall.  The three-term assemblyman currently represents the 113th Assembly District, which includes the eastern half of Saratoga County, including Saratoga Springs, and the southwestern half of Washington County.

While we wish Assemblyman Jordan the best in his political endeavor, we will miss him (and his efforts to improve the Upstate economy).

We are pleased to report that Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb has appointed Assemblywoman Jane Corwin – a great friend of Upstate taxpayers – to replace Mr. Jordan as the Assembly Minority’s floor leader (the formal title is “conference minority leader pro tempore”). While she has some large shoes to fill, we know she will do a great job and we look forward to continuing to work with her.
