The Legislature is scheduled to be in session Monday through Thursday this week.

The New York Farm Bureau holds its annual Taste of New York reception tonight, and its State Lobby Day tomorrow.

On Wednesday, March 6, the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce will host a program titled “Unfinished Business: What New York Needs to Do for Business this Year.”  Featured speakers will include Mike Durant, New York state director of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), and Brian Sampson, executive director of Unshackle Upstate.

Monday, March 11 is Buffalo Niagara Night in Albany.  The event will include a presentation on how the state budget will impact Western New York.

The Associated Builders and Contractors Empire Chapter Lobby Day is Tuesday, March 12th.

The state’s 2013-14 fiscal year begins on April 1.

April 17 is Small Business Day in Albany, led by NFIB NY.
