As if that wasn’t enough, last Wednesday, the Assembly approved legislation that would impose a two year moratorium on hydraulic fracturing.
Enough is enough. New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation has been studying this issue for 4 ½ years. And the Assembly wants to study it for two more years? Why not study it for the next decade?
Thankfully, the Senate is not expected to take up the bill. Senator Skelos said that DEC and DOH “should be allowed to complete their study so the governor can make an informed and final decision as soon as possible.”

This doesn’t surprise me! For decades, the liberals/progressives have been against fossil fuels and wasting our tax dollars on green energy projects! Here is a classic opportunity to create massive amounts of revenue and jobs in this state and yet, they listen to the so-called environmental experts that fracking is dangerous. They are well aware of the positive impact that fracking has had in Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states! It’s no wonder that many people are leaving New York for more tax friendly, job creating and capitalism -loving states! Wake up Albany!!!!
