Gov. Cuomo has released a “Two Year Progress Report,” which discusses the Governor’s efforts to restore long term fiscal stability, control local property taxes, improve the state’s economy to create jobs, and transform the state’s economic development program.

We think that the Governor deserves a lot of credit for changing New York State’s trajectory, but there remains much more work to do.  New York State didn’t get into economic trouble overnight, and we know that it’s not possible to get us out of it overnight.

We need to continue the effort that Gov. Cuomo started in January 2011, and make sure we do everything possible to make our communities affordable, and make them places where it makes senses for private sector businesses to locate and create jobs.
