Last week, Gov. Cuomo visited Buffalo and Niagara Falls, the Binghamton area and New York City as he completed his Regional Economic Development Council Progress Tour. We are looking forward to the announcements regarding the second round of REDC funding, which should occur in the near future.
Last Tuesday, Gov. Cuomo traveled to Western New York where he was briefed on the status on the WNY REDC projects that were funded last year, and also to review the Buffalo Billion Investment Development Plan.
On Wednesday, Gov. Cuomo continued his tour in the Southern Tier. Among the regional projects that the Governor was briefed on were improvements at the Greater Binghamton Airport, investments at BAE Systems, and a new drug development program at Norwich Pharmaceuticals.
And last Friday, Lt. Gov. Duffy completed the REDC Progress Tour with a visit to the New York City REDC. The Lt. Governor was briefed on a number of projects, including the Brooklyn Navy Yard Steiner Studios Media Campus, a Green Manufacturing Center, and Crye Precision, which designs and manufactures body armor and apparel for military and law enforcement.
