On Wednesday, Nov. 28, the Assembly Consumer Affairs and Protection Committee will hold a public hearing in Albany to “examine the effectiveness of the CPD and any changes in the delivery of services to consumers after the former Consumer Protection Board was placed as a unit within” the Department of State.

The State Education Department will hold public hearings, seeking public comment on the Statewide Plan for Higher Education.  Hearings will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 in New York City and on Monday, Dec. 3 in Buffalo.  Persons who cannot attend may submit comments via e-mail.

On Thursday, Nov. 29, the Assembly Committee on Libraries and Education Technology will hold a public hearing in Albany “to examine the impact of the 2012-13 State Budget on public libraries across New York State.”

On Thursday, Nov. 29, the Assembly Corrections Committee will hold a public hearing on educational and vocations programs in prison.

On Wednesday, Dec. 5, the Assembly Codes and judiciary committees will hold a public hearing in Albany to examine “economic abuse as a form of domestic abuse.”
