On Tuesday, the state announced that applications for the second round of its Land Bank Program are available online.  The program enables local governments to redevelop or resell vacant, abandoned or tax-delinquent properties.

The Land Bank Program was enacted in 2011; it authorized the creation of 10 land banks. Five applications were approved in May 2012.

Empire State Development is responsible for selecting and approving applications, which are due by 3 p.m. on Nov. 30.
