State Comptroller DiNapoli released a mid-year state revenue analysis today, and warned that tax revenue through the first six months of the state’s fiscal year is running $213 million short of projections. The Comptroller identifies the state’s slow recovery as being the result of the economic recession.

The state’s current projected budget deficit for 2013-14 is $982 million.  That number could grow before the Governor submits his Executive Budget in mid-January.
