The Metal Service Center Institute and its Buffalo Chapter will be holding a manufacturing summit, “Closing the Divide Between Jobs, Policy and Growth,” on Oct. 22.

The New York Education Reform Commission holds its next regional meeting on Monday,
Sept. 24 at Mohawk Valley Community College.  Another meeting will be held on Oct. 22 in Rochester.

The Senate’s Committee on Energy and Telecommunications holds a public hearing in Somerset, NY on Tuesday, Sept. 25 “to consider and analyze the long-term base load energy generation and transmission needs of the State of New York.”

On Oct. 2, the Rockefeller Institute and League of Women Voters are holding a forum entitled The Challenge of Mandate Relief in New York State.

Oct. 5 is Manufacturing Day, which is intended to expand knowledge about and improve general public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing’s value to the U.S. economy. Also on Oct. 5, our partners at MACNY are holding their Third Annual Manufacturing Careers Day.
