In the Hudson Valley’s 18th Congressional District, former Spitzer/Paterson administration aide Sean Patrick Maloney won a five-way primary for the right to face incumbent Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth.

In Western New York’s 27th Congressional District, former Erie County Executive defeated Iraq war veteran David Bellavia. Collins will face incumbent Democratic Rep. Kathy Hochul in November in a district that has become more Republican due to redistricting.
