On Monday, Gov. Cuomo signed into law a bill intended to help protect students from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. [Link to the Governor’s press release.]
The measure is intended to address bullying through computers and mobile devices by requiring schools to create policies to address the behavior, regardless of whether the bullying occurs on or off school property.
The new law also establishes improved training to help teachers and administrators better prevent and respond to cyber bullying and similar activities.
