Empire State Development has launched a new website that will enable the public to keep track of projects that are being funded through the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) program.
The site contains information on all of the first round projects, each regional strategic plan, proposal evaluations and scores, among other information.
According to an ESDC spokesman:
“The project info website enables the public to track all 720 round-one projects, including viewing project summaries, funding levels, status and other important information, all in one comprehensive and user-friendly site that will serve as a helpful tool to ensure accountability and performance in the progress of these transformational projects.”
This is an excellent step forward in terms of bringing greater transparency into the state’s economic development efforts.
